permit, if required for an estate sale (permit fees, if any, will be passed
along to the client).
- Take pictures of
rooms and highlighted items for marketing efforts to attract buyers.
- Promote sale on
appropriate websites.
- Feature in email
blast to Caring Transitions followers.
- Place
appropriate/allowable signage on day of sale to assist with directions and attract
more traffic.
Day of Sale
- Provide uniformed
employees to provide both customer service and security for the client’s home.
- Manage traffic
flow of customers to prevent overcrowding.
- Utilize
professional money management with cash register and credit card processing to
increase buying potential.
- Negotiate prices
with buyers when appropriate to meet both of the client’s goals of disposing of
the property while earning reasonable dollar amounts.
Final Clean-Out
- Divide
un-purchased items into groups for donation or disposal.
- Arrange for and
supervise donation pick-up, provide tax receipts to client.
- Leave home empty,
in broom-swept condition (deep cleaning of kitchens and bathrooms not included)
- Give Copy of
receipts, cash sheet, deposit slip and sales report to client
- Give client
proceeds within 14 days after sell.

- Promote auction
on appropriate websites and to Caring Transitions followers.
- Answer all
questions from prospective bidders during open bidding windows.
- Provide invoices
to winning bidders at close of auction and collect payment.
- Follow up with winning
bidders and offer unconfirmed lots to the next highest bidder.
Auction Pick-Up
- Professionally
manage pick-up of items.
- Provide uniformed
employees for both customer service and to ensure adequate coverage for
security.
- Arrange for
shipment of items to winning bidders, if appropriate.
